Outside of his collegiate and doctorate studies, Dr. Penland has completed advanced training in simplifying complex and restorative dentistry with doctors Strip and Brumm. He has also taken a wide range of courses, spanning from operative bonding protocols to advanced endodontic procedures.

Dr. Penland is an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the Volusia Flagler Dental Association.

Life & Hobbies

In his free time, Dr. Penland loves spending time with friends, family, and his dog, Myla! He is a Floridian, born and raised, and enjoys the beach, paddle boarding, and kayaking.

Taking the time to understand the concerns of each patient is an important part of my practice, so I can understand their circumstances and needs.”

To provide the best possible dental care for her patients, Dr. Hwang stays current on learning dental advances through evidence-based continuing education courses with a special interest in functional aesthetic dentistry. She has completed several years of advanced training in a variety of areas including fixed and removable prosthodontics, dental implant placement/advanced guided surgery, crown lengthening, and laser/digital Dentistry.

Life & Hobbies

When Dr. Hwang isn’t busy caring for teeth, you can often find her enjoying cooking, practicing yoga and golf, and exploring local restaurants and art museums. She also enjoys spending quality time with her friends and family.
